Karen S. Beling, O.D.
Dr. Beling grew up in Easton, PA and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. In 1998, after completing her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, Dr. Beling moved to the Annapolis area. She had the pleasure of working with Dr. William A Barnett for 10 years at South River Eye Care before purchasing the practice from him in 2007.
Dr. Beling is an active member of the Maryland Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is also a member of Vision Source, a group of locally owned optometric practices collaborating to provide quality professional eye care.
When she is not boating on the Chesapeake or playing tennis, Dr. Beling enjoys walking her four-legged furry friend, Ellie. Dr. Beling takes great pride in the quality of care and attention given to each patient from herself, Dr. Ashbeck, and her staff.
Allison C. Ashbeck, O.D.
Dr. Ashbeck joined South River Eye Care in 2011. She provides patients with an array of comprehensive eye care including eye examinations for children and adults, and contact lens fittings including bifocal, monovision, and gas permeable fits. She also provides pre and post op care for cataract and lasik surgeries.
Dr. Ashbeck completed her undergraduate education at Pennsylvania State University and received her Doctorate of Optometry in 1988 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Dr. Ashbeck is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Maryland Optometric Association, and the Anne Arundel County Optometric Association. She participates in various community screenings, such as Special Olympics and Maryland Society for Sight.
Dr. Ashbeck lives in Millersville with her husband Garth and their three children.
